2020 is not what I expected when I decided to accept a job back in the fast-paced, deadline driven environment of state and local government proposals. I was slightly nervous to jump into a different industry, but as it turns out, the proposal world has parity across fields. As it would happen, the last day of my two week training was when the quarantine lockdown began. I've been incredibly lucky to be able to thrive, excel, and accomplish my goals throughout the year in the shadow of a global pandemic. I was able to lead a focus group to streamline processes as we bounced back and forth between repositories, was integral in the development and execution of process trainings for both new hires and existing team members, and was able to lead the art direction of proposals using a hands on approach with art creation as well as working with the team at large.
