Late 2017, Structura was in need of a Marketing Manager. Historically structural engineers do not have marketing departments as they are subcontractors and bid directly to architects, general contractors, and commercial real estate partners through established relationships. However, with a two-fold expansion effort in mind, upon referral I was brought in to work hand-in-hand with the managing principals to lead the marketing efforts to a) collaborate on an updated and comprehensive website, b) expand into an additional market, and c) expand into an additional location.

Marketing collateral is a key component of any expansion campaign. As head of the newly created marketing department, I was tasked with using the existing brand to develop new proposal formats, resume formats, corporate brochures, and business cards, etc.

Structura has a strong internship program that has a high conversion rate to employees after graduation. Two rollup banners were created to attract potential students at college recruiting events that could also be used for tradeshows and conferences in the future.

After assessing the needs of the company, understanding the managing principals' visions, and capturing the pros and cons of the existing website, I was able to collaborate with Devour Creative to design a new and comprehensive website to bring Structura into the 21st century.

The main focus for the website was large impactful images for an aesthetic experience. Large imagery can be seen throughout the website from the homepage menu (pictured), as well as the team and especially projects.

2/2 Monthly newsletters were sent out to highlight company and staff achievements. The design goal was to keep on-brand with colors, imagery, fonts, and layout.
